#AlleAnBord
“From Rio 2016 to Brisbane 2032” campaign
In 2025, Germany SailGP started the #AlleAnBord campaign, supporting our purpose partner in making para sailing more inclusive and accessible. Together with our partners and athletes, our team organised and promoted activities and webinars throughout the year.
Para sailing is practised by athletes and communities around the world who bring dedication, skill, and passion to the sport on and off the water.
Building on this momentum, we launched the “From Rio 2016 to Brisbane 2032" campaign to advocate for the return of para sailing at the Paralympics. This discipline was, in fact, part of the Paralympic programme until the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games, the last edition to include sailing.
If you believe in making sport more inclusive, you can add your voice and sign the pledge to bring back para sailing at the Brisbane 2032 Paralympic Games and join our movement.
Better Sport
The Germany SailGP Team has always championed inclusion, with athletes participating in different initiatives over the years.
In 2025, the team has launched #AlleAnBord, a multifaceted campaign to drive inclusivity and accessibility in sailing through competitions, mentorship, an informative webinar, and visibility for sailors with disabilities, while discussing the innovation and technologies making inclusive sailing possible.
The campaign includes co-organising an inclusive regatta in Sassnitz during the Heinz Kettler Deutschland Cup, where up to 16 teams of para sailors compete.
True accessibility for disabled sailors is still a work in progress (World Sailing Para Strategy 2024–2029), and the Germany SailGP Team is committed to breaking these barriers through the #AlleAnBord campaign, collaborating with purpose partner, the not-for-profit association Wir sind Wir (wir-sind-wir.org) founded in 2022.
